Dean of the Bard College Conservatory of Music and UNESCO Global Goodwill Ambassador, Tan Dun, has made an indelible mark on the world’s music scene with a repertoire that spans the boundaries of classical music, multimedia performance, and Eastern and Western traditions. His compositions often feature water as a musical instrument.
In this program, he conducts five works by Czech, French, Romanian, Japanese, and British composers who were inspired by the sounds of oceans, rivers, and flowing waters.

An exciting evening in three parts. Opening the evening for us is So&So’s string quartet playing famous string quartets, building our appetite for the main meal — Opera!
In the second, and main part of the evening, we will hear some of the most beloved arias and intermezzi in opera, as well as some other symphonic desserts. Featuring young New York City talent, and our symphony orchestra.
Wrapping up the evening, we have one of the best salsa bands in the city to send us into the night.

New Muses Project is delighted to present a program of hidden gems in choral and chamber music. The virtuosic and declamatory Psalm settings of Ulysses Kay and George Walker give way to Germaine Tailleferre’s richly sublime String Quartet, while Imogen Holst’s contemplative and expansive Psalm settings round off the first half. Hailstork’s Songs of Innocence captures the essence of childhood, a nostalgic escape from the bustle of everyday life.
